The current head of the bank's Asset Finance division, Sabine Möller, will additionally be assuming permanent responsibility for the Distribution & Portfolio Management (DPM) division on 1 July 2025. She was appointed as acting head of this new unit a year ago to oversee its successful establishment.
In addition to distribution and portfolio management of the market divisions' loan exposures, DPM is also in charge of sales management. In this way, it makes a vital contribution to optimising the allocation of capital as well as to the strategic planning activities of lending and market units.
Sabine Möller has been head of Helaba's Asset Finance division since October 2023 and, in this role, is responsible for project, transport and special finance. Drawing on her many years of experience in structuring transactions, accessing capital markets and in sustainable finance, one of her principal achievements has been to advance the bank's development of capital market-eligible, scalable lending solutions with an international focus.
Prior to joining Helaba, Sabine Möller held a variety of management roles at Deutsche Bank, most recently in its Capital Markets unit. Her extensive capital market expertise and entrepreneurial approach have been instrumental in facilitating the strategic development and growth of the Asset Finance division.
Christian Schmid, a member of Helaba's Executive Board whose areas of responsibility include DPM, explains: "By entrusting Sabine Möller with the additional, permanent management of the DPM division, we are specifically bundling our structuring and management capabilities. She embodies successful financing just as much as transparency and efficiency in portfolio management. These are the ideal prerequisites to successfully develop both divisions together with their teams."
In appointing a permanent manager for DPM, Helaba is strengthening its focus on integration, management and risk transparency in its market activities while, at the same time, successfully continuing the Asset Finance division's growth strategy.
