How we operate

Our Approach

For us, a forward-looking corporate culture forms the basis for successfully supporting our customers’ transformation and securing our long-term competitiveness. In line with our understanding of ESG, we promote diversity, invest in the further training of our colleagues and support social initiatives. In this way, we strengthen our collaboration, foster innovation and create sustainable added value for our customers and the entire Helaba Group.

Our services

As a reliable partner, we support our clients in financing their transformation projects and help them to incorporate environmental, social and economic considerations into their decision-making. To this end, we offer sustainability-related products and services that take environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects into account. In addition, our Sustainable Finance Advisory service supports companies in structuring sustainable financing and implementing transformation projects.

Europe’s largest river-water heat pump is being built in Cologne-Niehl. This project embodies everything that Helaba stands for: social value, financed in collaboration with regional partners and implemented on the basis of a long-standing customer relationship.

Five priorities – explained briefly.

Shaping change effectively

The transformation of the economy and society requires an understanding of the various challenges and pathways to development. That is why we take a structured approach to assessing our clients’ capacity for transition and engage in dialogue based on this assessment.
