Focus on Covered Bonds: Better risk weight off the table for the time being

The EU Commission lowers the risk weight for securitization transactions - covered bonds remain unaffected. The decision is not based on a quantitative analysis of unexpected loss events. Other regulatory advantages of covered bonds relative to securitization transactions remain intact. We expect negligible relative value impact.
