Commercial bank, S-Group central bank, development bank
We combine three roles within our organisation.
Commercial Banking
We finance business growth, manage risks and act as a trading partner for banks both at home and abroad. We find suitable financing solutions for the public sector, as well as for commercial property and institutional clients.
S-Group Central Bank
We support the savings banks in Hesse, Thuringia, North Rhine-Westphalia and Brandenburg with financial products tailored to our customers’ needs. This makes us the partner of choice for around 40 per cent of Germany’s Sparkassen.
Development Bank
Through WIBank, we also support projects in the areas of infrastructure, the economy, social affairs and housing. Our programmes are aimed at private individuals, business owners, self-employed people, as well as local authorities and districts.

A bank with a long history
A story that began in 1832: over the course of almost two centuries, the Landeskreditkasse in Kassel evolved into a modern universal bank governed by public law, with regional roots and an international outlook. Discover the key stages of this development on our timeline.
