Launch of “Helaba Client App” for authentication of corporate clients

Helaba offers its corporate clients the option for their members of staff to authenticate their identity in a simple and safe way by using a video-based app solution – as a convenient alternative to conventional methods that can be used anywhere.

The video authen­tication function is the first step towards introducing a digital system of authori­sation management for Helaba’s corporate clients.

In launching a digital platform for authori­sation management, Helaba’s goal is to provide an easily accessible and trans­parent solution for its corporate clients, enabling them to obtain an overview of which employees are authorised to carry out specific trans­actions with the bank. In addition, if required it will be possible to manage the respective authority levels con­veniently and efficiently. The next steps will involve adding a function to record identity and signature data to the app and, finally, connecting it to an authori­sation portal. Thomas Groß, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of Helaba Landes­bank Hessen-Thüringen, explains: “This first step means Helaba on the road towards a digital system of authori­sation management that will provide our clients with increased accessibility, trans­parency and efficiency in their relationship to us. We will soon be taking further steps in this direction.”
