Launch of “Helaba Client App” for authentication of corporate clients
Helaba offers its corporate clients the option for their members of staff to authenticate their identity in a simple and safe way by using a video-based app solution – as a convenient alternative to conventional methods that can be used anywhere. The video authentication function is the first step towards introducing a digital system of authorisation management for Helaba’s corporate clients.
In launching a digital platform for authorisation management, Helaba’s goal is to provide an easily accessible and transparent solution for its corporate clients, enabling them to obtain an overview of which employees are authorised to carry out specific transactions with the bank. In addition, if required it will be possible to manage the respective authority levels conveniently and efficiently. The next steps will involve adding a function to record identity and signature data to the app and, finally, connecting it to an authorisation portal. Thomas Groß, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of Helaba Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen, explains: “This first step means Helaba on the road towards a digital system of authorisation management that will provide our clients with increased accessibility, transparency and efficiency in their relationship to us. We will soon be taking further steps in this direction.”
