Helaba Invest: Successful first closing for HI-Immobilien-Multi Manager-Fonds III

In December 2017, Helaba Invest raised total capital of around EUR 100 million from institutional investors in the scope of the first closing for HI-Immobilien-Multi Manager-Fonds III.

Overall, eight institutional investors subscribed to HI-Immobilien-Multi Manager-Fonds III. The special fund under German law invests in European real estate with a focus on Germany and places an emphasis on broad diversification across different sectors. The core fund-of-funds strives to achieve an average distribution yield of 3.5 percent over a 10-year period as well as a total return of 4.0 percent.

For Helaba Invest, the successful first closing represents a consistent expansion in its range of products in the real estate segment. “We are delighted that our investors placed their trust in us, which encouraged us to launch the third fund after the success of HI-Immobilien-Multi Manager-Fonds I+II”, affirmed Ulrich Lingner, a member of Helaba Invest’s Management Board. With subsequent closings, the fund is aiming for a target volume of EUR 500 million.

Helaba Invest’s unique selling point on the German market remains its consistent focus on an investment strategy based on specialist, indirect investments in real estate (Multi Manager). In this area, over recent years it has managed to build up substantial expertise and a track record in transaction activity. “In addition to existing customers, our new product also appeals to new investors. Our comprehensive network, long-term experience and extensive expertise allow us to identify attractive target funds and to make investments, even in markets with an ever-dwindling range of available products”, Lingner added.
